Car Air Conditioning Service Repair

Car Air Conditioning Service Repair Sunshine CoastWhat is Air Con Black Death?

They say it is the grim reaper of car air conditioners. Unlike the plague that killed millions in the 12th Century, this is catastrophic for your car’s’ air conditioning system. It refers to the breakdown of the refrigerant system of the compressor in an Air Conditioning System of the car. The refrigerant acts as a lubricant to the compressor just like a motor oil does to the engine. This refrigerant breaking down means hot and smelly air will flow through your car air conditioning vents. This occurs regularly on the Sunshine Coast and you do not want to experience that.

There are also other problems related to A/C, for which you might need our Car Air Conditioning Service or Repairs:

Weak Air Flow:

Sweating in the car during a non-moving traffic jam can be disgusting and make you want to pick your brains out. We feel that but what can you do is to know about it and know how to find solutions about it like getting a Car Air Conditioning Service Repair.

Main causes of weak airflow:

  • Mold and mildew have essentially taken hold of all the areas in and near the air vents, therefore the clear air is being blocked.
  • A blower hose has gotten loose, which essentially provides the pathways of air flow.
  • The ventilation fan has stopped working and given out.
  • Seals: Not the ones that you find at the pier, but the core case seals, blower hose seals, and evaporator case seals. The seals essentially hold the components they are attached to. So if one of them comes off then it is a recipe for a disaster. The seals on A/C ventilation system are the most important and the most sensitive, so therefore if they come off the A/C is compromised.

These problems can be taken cared of through Car Air Conditioning Service and Repair.

Are the lighting indicators to indicate a problem with my A/C?:

Mostly no, but there are some vehicles that have Driver Information Centers (DIC) that do display the information about its different components.

The A/C does not like it used to?

It could have been caused by:

  • Failed o-ring, seal, or hose component causing freon leak
  • The failing of compressor
  • Damaged evaporator
  • Vacuum Leaks
  • Failure to regas

These may be solved by Car Air Conditioning Service Repair

My A/C was working fine and then suddenly it started spewing hot air:

It may be because of:

  • The clutch is not properly working with the compressor
  • A clogged expansion valve is not working with the refrigerant
  • The fuse from A/C system goes out
  • Leaks from the A/C system

Gym locker room odor is coming out of my A/C:

It may be because of:

  • The evaporator is moldy now
  • Cabin filter is dirty and old

Detecting A/C system leaks of your car:

Detecting leaks:

  • Run a black light over the supposed leaks to correctly identify them,
  • You can use a “sniffer” (you can get from a car shop) to sniff out the leaks.

What essentially causes A/C leaks:

The answer is plain is simple: Age and moisture. What you can do is get a Car Air Conditioning Service Repair from Harmac Auto Electronics on the Sunshine Coast.
